Figure C :  Layout of facing in odd course(L-joint is on the left)

If viewed from front it appears like odd course in double Flemish bond as in Figure C wherein we have alternative headers and stretchers. Further on the side of L-joint stretcher has a queen closure placed parallel to it, such that total length is equal to quarter bat placed as shown in Figure B.

Each stretcher in the facing has backing of two bricks placed perpendicularly such that backing has a course of headers in odd course. Hence odd course has the backing of

Single Flemish Bond Even Course

The even course has the facing, consisting of Header, queen closure, stretcher, header, stretcher, header, and so on as shown in the Figure F. The backing consists of a course of stretchers.

Figure H : Facing layout for other side in even course L-joint

On the side of L-joint stretcher has a quarter bat is  placed parallel to it, such that total length is equal to header and queen closure placed as shown in

Figure G in the side.
Behind the quarter bat one brick is at right angle such that the outer facing has a stretcher.
Quarter bat is also backed by one brick with header touching quarter bat. Further a half bat and stretcher are placed to form double Flemish bond facing. To make the backing bricks are so laid such that we have a course of headers, Figure H.
